A charming pair of small vintage Staffordshire style Dalmation dogs (right and left facing) on rich cobalt blue cushions with gold gilt highlights. Mantel decor or perched on top of a stack of books.
Hand painted faces with black polka dots and wearing gold collars. Staffordshire figurines were popular mantel decor in the Victorian era. These dogs appear to date to the 1940's/1950's.
4" tall x 5" long
As found, in lovely condition with crazing, the gold details on the right facing dog have wear.
