A bit about the cafe: Chan Dun came to Victoria from China in 1893 at age 16. In 1902, he started operating a series of cafes with partners catering to working class Victorians. Dun founded the Panama Cafe in 1917 and it operated for over 50 years (until about 1967) at 1407-1409 Government Street, offering affordable meals.
As found, in great vintage condition.
