The iconic crockery with a cabbage leaf design is made in Portugal. It's founder, Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro was a political cartoonist and one of the most influential people in 19th century Portuguese culture. The first cabbage leaf designs date back to 1884 when the studio was founded in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal and are still made by hand today using the traditional molds.

As found, in lovely condition with some wear from use on its feet. The tiniest flea bite mark on one end is barely visible. No visible crazing on top, very light crazing on bottom.
