A charming, midcentury French Faïence oyster plate, circa 1950-1960. Made by Niderviller in a caramel brown glaze.

This plate includes 6 oyster wells plus one central one for the lemon or dipping sauce.

10" diameter

Stamped with the maker's mark on the back,  Niderviller France. 

Niderviller is one of France's most famous pottery manufacturers. It began as a maker of Faience (tin glazed earthenware) in the early 18th century and became famous for its porcelain products.
