A charming antique English brown and cream aesthetic movement style transferware serving dish / tureen in the 'Brazil' pattern by G.W. Turner & Sons.
Rectangular octagonal shape with pretty molded shell shaped handles. Aesthetic transfer pattern design features butterflies and a vine with a woven basket like design around the top edge. No lid.
Lovely to use on the table as a serving piece or planter filled with spring flowering bulbs.
Dates to late 19th century. Circa 1873-1895.

Although not stamped this piece was made by G.W. Turner & Sons in Tunstall, England. Impressed registration stamp on base : RN 46325
In lovely condition. Some subtle age related marks and light crazing on interior. One tiny chip on inside rim. No lid.
