antique Scottish GRAY'S Portobello stoneware crock

Antique Scottish stoneware crock with a lovely beaded detail and caramel band around the oatmeal coloured stoneware.

Made in Scotland by Gray's Pottery at Portobello, Edinburgh between 1857 and 1926 after which the pottery closed.

7” tall, 4” diameter base, 2.5” diameter opening

Impressed with the Gray's Pottery stamp, GRAY 1 PORTOBELLO, NB

As found, in lovely almost pristine condition considering its age.
