Antique 19th century Majolica decorative plate in a stunning palette of turquoise greens and teal. A beautiful addition to a plate collection.
Beautiful decorative elements include overlapping chestnut leaves, small berry coloured flowers, a basketweave background, and pretty scalloped edge in a taupe/brown glaze.

The number 187 and a letter, possibly a C are impressed on the back.
As found, in overall lovely antique condition. Three stilt marks on back from its original firing process. Some wear on edges include some tiny chips along edge and one larger old chip on top edge (see photos). There is also one very small chip on the stem of the chestnut leaf. These don't detract from its beauty but are part of its patina as a piece that was previously used and enjoyed. So pretty.
