Antique English jug from the Cries of London Collection made by William Adam's & Son in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Features street vendors in London selling their wares.
Dates from approx 1896 to early 1900s.
Cries of London refers to the songs and chants used by London's street vendors as they walked the streets of London. These patterns are based on the paintings of Francis Wheatley, who in the late 1700s painted a series depicting these street sellers.

Condition - in great antique condition, one small chip near base ( see last 3 photos) some age related wear and crazing.
