A gorgeous antique 19th century, brown transferware ironstone pot with fabulous lions head handles on side. The octagonal body depicts a country landscape with a hill in the distance and a tree in the foreground with two birds, perhaps falcons. This landscape repeats on both sides. Lovely patina.
This would have been originally used as a sugar bowl or canister and is perfect for displaying flowers, herbs on a windowsill, counter or a houseplant.

As found, in lovely antique condition. *Please note there is chip underneath the top outside edge of one side that doesn't detract from its beauty. There is wear on interior and interior rim that is typical of age and use.
