antique English butter pat, Bishop & Stonier

A lovely antique Bishop & Stonier butter pat dish made in Hanley, Staffordshire, England, with pretty floral design in rich jewel tones.

Use as intended, or as a small salt dish, or perhaps to hold earrings on a bedside table.

Marked: Dove, Bisto, England. (Dove was the pattern and Bisto stood for Bishop & Stonier). The markings date to approximately 1876.

3.25" diameter.

As found, in lovely condition with some wear to the gold detail on the rim.
