The "Clarion" tureen—made by Dunn Bennett & Co.'s Burslem workshop, circa 1907. This blue transferware tureen features delicate floral motifs with golden accents that catch the light beautifully.
While it's missing its lid, that just opens up creative possibilities: still useful as tableware or fill it with your favourite blooms, or plant spring bulbs inside (just tuck some lining in first to protect the dish).
12.25" from handle to handle / 8.5" diameter interior / 4.5" tall.
Marked on base: Clarion / Imperial Semi China / Trademark / Dunn Bennett & Co. / Burslem England
As found, in lovely condition, no damage, some very old flaws on base and interior appear to be original from firing process when placed on stilts in kiln. No apparent crazing. Some very light wear to rim and interior as per age and use.
